The Swinton Community Focus Group is bringing a fun-packed day to Swinton to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. Activities include a prize for children's wartime fancy dress, entertainment, free children's face painting, a mini museum, arts and crafts, and talks from the Swinton Heritage Society. Visitors can also exchange their ration book for free refreshments (for kids), enjoy a 'Swinton at War' presentation, and participate in giant lawn games. Stalls from local businesses will be present, offering lots of opportunity to learn and experience life 80 years ago.
